Songs I Totally Forgot Ever Even Existed

mixed by Liam Eagle

PERFECT FOR:

Chuckling; Smirking; Appreciating kitsch value.

INTRODUCTION:

Every so often, at a supermarket, in a coffee shop or sometimes even at a bar, I'll hear a song that I totally forgot ever even existed. There's no particular genre to which all these songs belong, but they all share two remarkable abilities: the ability to fade completely from my memory, and the ability to make me go "holy shit! I totally forgot that song ever even existed!" They're often able to take me back to a simpler time, like those two weeks when I thought that Edwin Collins song was pretty good. And it is to honor those fallen artists, and to offer them one last gasp at the sweet, cool air of somebody playing their recorded music, anywhere, ever, that I put together this mix tape. Keep in mind, please, that it's "songs I totally forgot ever even existed." So if you remember one of them, or you didn't know one of them in the first place, that's probably why it's not called "songs you totally forgot ever even existed." If it helps you, you can write "songs Liam totally forgot ever even existed" on your copy.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

There's really not much to worry about when you're... Holy shit! How Bizarre? I totally forgot that song ever even existed! Days of the New? That's hilarious. I totally forgot about them too. I'm not sure I know that Primitive Radio... Wait, with the B.B. King sample? Yeah, I remember that one! Oh wow!

LISTENING INSTRUCTIONS:

The "songs i totally forgot ever even existed" mix is best listened to with a group of semi-willing freinds. It's best to watch their faces closely for any kind of reaction as you play it track by track. I should probably be there, too, to ensure a response of some kind.

ALSO:

Hey. Listen. If you hadn't forgotten one of these songs, or if you haven't ever heard one of them, I don't care. And I certainly don't want to hear about it. You can tell me if you think it's great, though.
